Bermuda Cruising - Quite a Choice for 2006 Season

I’ve been lucky enough to sail to Bermuda twice and have to say it’s probably my favorite itinerary due to the fact that you’re visiting one island and don’t feel “cheated” out of seeing a port.   Bermuda is so popular that 50 percent of visitors are said to return a second time.

In 2006, 13 ships will cruise to Bermuda from eight North American homeports … you may choose to sail to the island of pink sand beaches, Bermuda shorts & Dark & Stormy drinks from Baltimore; Boston; Cape Liberty (Bayonne, N.J.); Charleston, S.C.; Gloucester, Mass.; Fort Lauderdale; New York; and Philadelphia.  Three cruise lines will offer regular Bermuda routes the entire season - April through October.  Other ships will visit Bermuda on seasonal U.S. East Coast, transatlantic and Caribbean itineraries departing from Northeast cities.  Cruise ships call at three Bermuda ports: Hamilton, the island’s capital city; St. George’s, the center of Bermuda’s maritime and cultural history; and King’s Wharf at the Royal Naval Dockyard, which offers shopping, dining and several museums.

Ships calling in Bermuda this year include Carnival Cruise Lines’ Carnival Legend; Celebrity Cruises’ Zenith; Costa Cruises’ Costa Magica; Crystal Cruises’ Crystal Serenity; Norwegian Cruise Line’s Norwegian Crown, Norwegian Majesty and Norwegian Spirit; Princess Cruises’ Crown Princess; Radisson Seven Seas Cruises’ Seven Seas Navigator; Royal Caribbean International's Empress of the Seas, Explorer of the Seas and Grandeur of the Seas; and Seabourn Cruise Line’s Seabourn Pride.

Keep an eye out for more in 2007 … off the bat, I know MSC will have one of their “Lirica Class” ships (either the Lirica or the Opera) permanently sailing out of Manhattan – 7 night sailings from NYC to Bermuda Spring & Summer of 2007 with some Caribbean and “Fall Foliage” sailings in the mix.

I'd be happy to help you plan your cruise to the pink sand beaches of Bermuda ... one of favorites ...
