Punta Cana, Dominican Republic - RIU Hotels & Resorts will open the new RIU Palace Punta Cana in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic on April 28, 2006. This five-star resort will be RIU's 28th in the Americas and its ninth in the Dominican Republic. Built in close proximity to RIU's five other properties in Punta Cana, the new RIU Palace Punta Cana will be located on Arena Gorda beach, surrounded by 75,000 square yards of gardens. All of the resorts 612 junior suites provide a hydro-massage bathtub. Guests at the RIU Palace Punta Cana will have access t othe facilities and amenities at all five of the sister properties: RIU Palace Macao, Riu Taino, Riu Melao, Riu Naiboa and Riu Bambu; and they can also enjoy RIU's Caribbean Street spa, casino, disco and shops.
