Karisma's Azul Beach Hotel Treats the Little Guys like Kings & Queens

Kids need pampering, too, and Karisma Resorts' Azul Beach Hotel, located on Mexico's Riviera Maya, has gone out of its way to cater to the little ones' (and their parents'!) every need.

This boutique all-inclusive resort rolls out the red carpet (or in this case, a majestic stretch of white sand beach overlooking a dazzling blue ocean) for the entire family. Upon check-in, children are greeted with chilled juice and hand towels for a refreshing treat after their flight: just the perfect thing for the little princess in the family. Then it's off to one of the 98 rooms that overlook either the ocean or the lush gardens (with either balconies or verandahs) and are outfitted with every amenity for a worry-free stay. Whether it's a crib for the teeniest member in the family, teeny tiny bathrobes (photo op, anyone?), child-sized steps to help toddlers reach the sink, playpens, baby monitors, strollers, and (a treat only moms could truly appreciate) baby bottle warmers, the hotel is always one step ahead of any family's needs. Oh yeah, and we haven't even left the room yet.

Beachside Bliss
Outside, this hip resort (the company likes to say "it's mastered the art of chill") offers a pocket of paradise for children of all ages.  They say it's all in the details, and Azul Beach's offerings truly define that concept.  The beachside cabanas are a dream come true with king-sized beds big enough for a family siesta or book time; for teenss it's the ultimate in bragging rights. Guests can even drop the sheer-gauze curtains for a private snooze.  Then there are the beachside butles and butlerettes, who offer soft towel service, refreshment deliveries, tanning products, water vaporizers and, of course, beach toys and games for the kids.  They'll also throw in some fun extras like beach picnics and come around with fresh fruit skewers.

Kid Central
For parents looking for some alone time, there are a bevy of kids' activities that will keep the 4- to 12-year-olds busy, and, more importantly, with a smile on their faces from ear to ear: boogie boarding, watercolor painting, basketball, Spanish lessons, Simon Says, arts & crafts, video games, pool races, water polo, and face painting. And parents can rest assured their little ones are in good hands since the groups are divided according to age.

All that activity is bound to open up any little kids' appetite, and the menus won't be the kind they'll be making funny faces at: Harry Potter salad, spooky potato salad and Nemo's breaded boneless Caribbean fish filet are just a few of the many fun items.

The company stresses that guests of Azul Beach Hotel will forget to think "I need" or even "I want," because as they say, "someone has already thought of it and done it for you."
