Kids need pampering, too, and Karisma Resorts' Azul Beach Hotel, located on Mexico's Riviera Maya, has gone out of its way to cater to the little ones' (and their parents'!) every need.

This boutique all-inclusive resort rolls out the red carpet (or in this case, a majestic stretch of white sand beach overlooking a dazzling blue ocean) for the entire family. Guests can even drop the sheer-gauze curtains for a private snooze.  Then there are the beachside butles and butlerettes, who offer soft towel service, refreshment deliveries, tanning products, water vaporizers and, of course, beach toys and games for the kids.  They'll also throw in some fun extras like beach picnics and come around with fresh fruit skewers.

For parents looking for some alone time, there are a bevy of kids' activities that will keep the 4- to 12-year-olds busy, and, more importantly, with a smile on their faces from ear to ear: boogie boarding, watercolor painting, basketball, Spanish lessons, Simon Says, arts & crafts, video games, pool races, water polo, and face painting. And parents can rest assured their little ones are in good hands since the groups are divided according to age.

All that activity is bound to open up any little kids' appetite, and the menus won't be the kind they'll be making funny faces at: Harry Potter salad, spooky potato salad and Nemo's breaded boneless Caribbean fish filet are just a few of the many fun items.
